Becoming partner in July 2004 is definitely the highlight of my career. I am delighted to be an owner of such a strong, vibrant business.  

I joined the firm in August 1995 as receptionist and am living proof of the career advancement opportunities that exist within our practice.  

I work very closely with my business clients and I enjoy taking an active role in helping all our clients grow their businesses but at the same time find balance in their lives.  

I am always looking for ways to improve the business development division of our firm by finding new and better ways for our clients to do business.  

I've been instrumental in developing our portfolio administration service and believe that this provides a much needed solution to many of our clients. This service is another way for us to help relieve the pressure on our clients' lives to give them the freedom to spend time doing the things they enjoy.  

Outside of the office I enjoy contributing to the direction of the Spastic Centres of South Australia Inc (scosa) as a Board Member, and Treasurer.

I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting.  I am also a Fellow of The Tax Institute and a Registered Taxation Agent.

Soon after joining the dmca team in January 2007 it was very clear to me that this was where my future was to be.  With a fantastic team of people committed to helping clients in all aspects of their business and personal financial affairs, I was more than happy to accept the opportunity to join Angela as a partner in dmca from 1 July 2009.  I therefore look forward to sharing in the ownership and future direction of the business well into the future.

Working for various accounting firms in Adelaide over a period of more than 20 years, I have gained a sound knowledge and well rounded experience in the core areas of accounting and taxation compliance including tax planning, business planning and structuring, succession planning and management reporting.

In particular I have a strong interest and extensive knowledge in relation to self-managed superannuation including overall wealth management & planning.  This helps us to work closely with our clients to achieve the best possible integration between their business and personal wealth management from inception through to future generations.  Further to this I have recently completed a Diploma of Financial Services to support my skills, experience and interest in this area.  I am also a Chartered Accountant and Fellow Member of The Tax Institute.

I recognise that our clients are our business and as a team we have a great appreciation for the strong relationships we build & maintain with our clients.  To this end our focus is to nurture these relationships by working hard to provide the best service to our clients at all times.

On a personal note I am also a mum to two wonderful children who keep me busy outside of work and provide me with many rewarding moments.  I also enjoy taking time out with my family by heading down to Victor Harbor & surrounding areas whenever I can, together with wining, dining, reading, social netball & tennis.

Joining the firm in June 2011, I have gained widespread experience over 15 years from a number of firms in Adelaide, Country Victoria and Overseas. In all situations I have found that whilst the advice and compliance work is vital, it is building a relationship and trust that I find the most rewarding in dealing with clients. It is these same values that attracted me to dmca.            

Having recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Taxation to further enhance my technical knowledge, I also hold a Bachelor of Commerce (major in Accounting), am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and Fellow Member of The Tax Institute.

Growing up in a retail and owner operated business background I have a firsthand understanding of the issues that small to medium business owners face in the current economic and business environment.

I am a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) with a background of over 17 years in both commercial business and chartered accounting.  Also being a MYOB Certified Consultant I specialise in setting up client software, whether it is MYOB, QuickBooks, Cash Flow Manager or Banklink.  I strive to ensure our clients get the most out of their software and have a set of accurate management accounts that they too can understand.

I have been with dmca in one form or another for almost 10 years.  They actively encourage employees to participate in their success and always keep up with the latest in technology including dual screens and a paperless office environment. 

Recently returning to work full time after having two children, dmca support me via a flexible working arrangement.  I get to enjoy spending more time with my husband and children, achieving a great work life balance.

A business services accountant for almost 15 years my experience includes accounting and taxation compliance as well as monthly management reporting for the hotel industry.

I am a Certified Practising Accountant with over ten years of membership and my qualifications include a Bachelor of Accountancy, Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies, and a Bachelor of Economics.

A mother of two young girls I was looking for a professional practice which encourages employees to embrace the challenges of a career and a family.  A pleasant office environment offering support, flexibility, continued professional development, and the latest technology.  So in March 2009 I joined the dmca team.

With a Bachelor of Engineering and Graduate Certificate in Project Management, my background includes 11 years as an engineering officer in the Royal Australian Air Force and 5 years as a consulting and project engineer.  In 2000 I completed a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and I have been an Authorised Representative of Count Financial Ltd for 10 years and Mortgage Broker for 8 years.   In 2010 I completed a Masters in Professional Accounting to complete my career transition from engineering to finance.   I joined dmca in January 2011 after looking for employment that would allow me to further develop my accounting skills and continue my passion in helping people reach their financial goals, whether through sound strategies or just good budgeting.   I am an Associate Member of the Financial Planning Association.

Outside work I enjoy spending time with my wife and four boys, learning the drums, cricket umpiring, activities with my church, and golf (when time allows).

I joined dmca in February 2009 after graduating from Flinders University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Marketing.  I am currently completing my post graduate studies to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Outside of work I enjoy playing golf for the Blackwood Golf Club.

Prior to joining dmca in May 2008 my background was in the legal industry having worked in a variety of positions including Personal Assistant and Paralegal.

I hold a degree from Flinders University, a Graduate Certificate in Management from UniSA and I am currently studying towards a Masters in Business Administration through UniSA. I look forward to developing my career in this area with dmca.
